Etched plaques are made from virgin metal sheet stock that is always lead and mercury free. The chemical etching process allows us to reproduce even the most complex artwork onto the surface of the metal. When used in combination with cast and architectural plaque lines, our etched medallions and emblems provide the precision needed to accentuate the perfect plaque or marker. We can etch Brass, Bronze, Copper and Stainless Steel in varying gauges and dimensions. And like our architectural plaques, 8-day production is standard on etched plaque orders. 	Recessed Graphics (Standard) The standard on all etched Plaques is recessed text and graphics that are paint filled.		Raised Graphics (+10%) When raised text or graphics is specified, the background will be painted, leaving the text or graphics in the alloy color. There are stroke and artwork limitations with raised copy plaques.
Line Art		Photo Etched
	Line Art - Minimum $115 Extra The beauty of an etched plaque does not have to be restricted to a photograph. A sketch or drawing can also be created with fabulous results by reproducing a black & white line drawing. Since no halftone screen is used in the process, the fine lines are expertly captured in exquisite detail and can actually be etched even deeper into the metal. Designed for indoor applications and suitable for some outdoor applications.		Photo Etched - Minimum $115 Extra Halftone images resemble newspaper photographs, and have visible dot patterns. The etched, recessed dots are standard with a black ink fill to contrast with the satin finished metal background. The best photographs for halftone etched portraits have high contrast tones with bright white areas, dense black areas and minimal grey tones. Photos that are monotone or have muted colors will produce poor halftone etchings. Halftone etchings are available in stainless steel, bronze, brass & copper
Mounting Options
Stud Mount (Blind Mount) All etched plaques 1/4" thick and thicker are drilled and tapped.	Stud Boss Mount (Blind Mount) Plaques thinner than 1/4" can be stud mounted with welded stud bosses.	Double Face Tape Mount (Blind Mount) Strips of “Very High Bond” tape are applied to the back of the plaque.	Screw Mount Holes are drilled through the surface of the plaque. Specify screw size and if you need the holes to be countersunk. 1/16" thick plaques cannot be countersunk and will include round head screws.

Edges
Square Edge (Standard) The standard edge on an etched plaque is a straight edge (90º)	Bevel Edge (+10%) An optional bevel (41º) edge is applied to one half the material thickness. Bevel edges are not available on 1/16" thick material.
